If your budgie is older than 6 months old and you notice him doing these things mentioned above, then he is hormonal
Hormonal phase is hard and is frustrating with all biting and aggressive behavior😩
Here are some tips to help your budgie through that phase!
- Make sure his cage isn't placed in dark or dull place.
- Let him sleep 12 hours at least.
- Try to teach him new tricks and keep him busy with training.
- If he refuses to step up or get out of cage even with using treats, then leave him for a while he may not be in the mood.
- Remove any mirrors (reflective objects) and nest (or objects that can be used as nests)
- Get for him a partner if he is alone
- Get for him shredding toys to keep him entertained and reduce the biting!
